Queue the song. Own the stage.

KaraTube turns YouTube into a karaoke night: search for backing tracks, line up a Play Next queue everyone can see, and run a room where your friends request the next song from their phones.

You can search and build a queue without an account. Signing in saves your setlists, history and rooms.

Built for the way karaoke nights actually go

One person holds the laptop, everyone else has opinions. KaraTube gives the host controls and everyone else a way in.

  • Find the right cut

Search YouTube from the server with karaoke, instrumental and live filters, duration ranges and a one-tap “add karaoke” toggle.

  • Play Next that actually holds

Drag to reorder, insert after the current song, and keep your queue across refreshes — signed in or not.

  • Rooms with a real host

Share a link, let guests request songs, and approve, reorder or skip from the host console.

  • Setlists you can share

Build playlists, export them as JSON or CSV, and hand out a read-only link for the night.

  • Notes for every song

“Starts at 0:42.” “Key feels high.” Keep your own cues attached to the track.

  • Official APIs only

Playback runs through the YouTube IFrame Player. Nothing is downloaded, proxied or re-streamed.

What KaraTube does and does not do

It does

Search videos through the YouTube Data API v3 and play them in the official YouTube IFrame Player, exactly as YouTube serves them.

Let you connect YouTube permissions later, only when you choose to create or update a YouTube playlist — and always after showing you a preview of the change.

It does not

Download, proxy, re-stream, or extract audio from videos, and it does not scrape YouTube pages.

Remove vocals or supply licensed lyrics. Availability, embeddability and region restrictions are controlled entirely by YouTube and the content owners.
